My name is Kevin Gibson and I live in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex. Since retiring five years ago, my passion has become running. I run for health and fitness, to explore the great outdoors, for fun and to help others. I will be taking part in the 10km run to enjoy, do some good and not race for a change.
Parallel London 2017 is the world’s first fully inclusive mass participation event and it really appeals to me as it will be a fantastic celebration of inclusivity and diversity. Able bodied and disabled people side by side, all ages, all abilities, taking part in the iconic Olympic Park, brilliant.
I am proud to be fund raising and supporting Whizz-Kidz which provides disabled children with mobility equipment that fits their young lives. Whizz-Kidz sets disabled young people free to reach their true potential and live their lives to the full.
Training Tip: ‘Do something today that your future self will thank you for.’
