I am Mark from Northampton. I am disabled with no speech. I work in a small music venue in Milton Keynes as the Marketing Coordinator. I am hopefully doing the 10km for a charity which is close to my heart, Attitude is Everything. They work within the music industry to help disabled people as audiences, artists and professionals. I have volunteered for them at some festivals.
My training tips are if you think that you’re fit, try doing a 10km then start training seriously. Start small and build up. If you know your body, you know how to work it, eat right, sleep right, drink right.
Training and getting fitter will make you feel better, training will become fun and will become part of your daily schedule.
